FS Medical Technology (FSMT) technical staff are responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing medical gas source and pipeline equipment providing critical life-safety gases to patients in hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare facilities. Technicians receive in-house training to perform their job effectively.

Job duties include:

Medical gas technicians interpret schematics, diagrams, and other technical documents. FSMT technicians use technical skills to operate and repair medical gas systems and equipment, and to troubleshoot problems and make repairs.

Medical gas technicians communicate with a wide variety of people, including co-workers, supervisors, hospital engineers, and clinical staff. Technicians use verbal and written communication skills to explain technical information, answer questions, and complete paperwork.

Medical gas technicians solve problems throughout their workday. FSMT technicians use problem-solving skills to identify the source of the problem, develop a solution, and implement the solution.
